Italy With Intent…

What details of the destination inspired you? We had private guide for our trip to Vatican City. She was wonderful and very well versed. We were fortunate to be in Rome during the 2025 Jubilee and our tour had a unique experience. A special room with a beautiful view of St. Peter's Basilica was opened at just the moment we passed. This particular room is only open every 25 years to tourists. Our guide had never been in this room and she was in awe. She guided us to a beautiful window and when we began to take pictures of the Basilica, she pulled out her own camera and began to take photos too. She became a wide eyed tourist just as we were. She was struck by the beauty and just enjoyed it as did we. In that moment, I realized how special it is to be in a place where you feel the beauty of the moment as if it's your first time. We are all tourists. Enjoy the beauty.

Tell me about a moment that felt like a challenge & how you overcame it. Easy. Our train to Milan was delayed by more than 2 hours due to an earthquake in Naples. The answer was simple. Exercise patience and don't stress. Its a vacation, not a business meeting. Love who and where you are.

What was the first thing you did when you landed? We walked the streets of Rome just outside the old city wall. We strolled to a ristorante and had a magnificent meal. We did not have a reservation but the gracious host/Owner welcomed us and gave us the last table of the night.

What experience was most memorable and why? We found a night market in Rome filled with shopping and restaurants. Our first night there, we stopped to have a meal by the Tiber River and enjoy the outside dining. It was very hot in Rome and the city has a more festive energy at night. While eating and talking with our son, we began to hear a beautiful Opera. As it turned out, we had riverside seating for a live Opera being performed on an anchored riverboat just offshore. It was a real surprise and a real joy to take in.

What growth do you feel your family had while in travel? Identity. I believe we will always be together and I believe we will always be travelers. Our children are now young adults about to enter their careers but our future plans are wrapped around togetherness and travel.

What was your favorite part of working with us? As clients, we really appreciated the organization, structure, and comfort in knowing a professional had orchestrated our adventure. We feel like you allowed us to look forward to our trip instead of making our trip a planning and coordination chore. The value you provide is remarkable.
