On The Cliffs Of Moher…

What Was the First Thing You Did When You Landed? When I landed in London, the very first thing I did was sleep haha. However, once I had gotten some sleep, I went sightseeing throughout London to see many of the “tourist” attractions such as Big Ben, the London Eye, the London Shard, etc.

What Experience Was Most Memorable? Why? Wrexham was AWESOME because I am huge soccer fan. But, my favorite experience was the Cliffs of Moher or the Gap of Dunloe. Both of these travel experiences throughout Ireland were truly breathtaking, and it brought me so much joy knowing I was getting to experience some of these fantastic views of Ireland.

What did you feel when you were looking over the Cliffs of Moher? It was humbling getting to experience those views. I felt like I didn’t deserve that experience, but so grateful that I got to do just that. It was wild though because earlier in the day, a torrential downpour took place so our group thought we wouldn’t get the “full Cliffs experience,” but fortunately, the weather cleared and I got to see firsthand what all the hype was about.

What Was Your Favorite Hotel? The Hotel Riu Dublin was great because it was a short walk to the Temple Bar area, which is where the main part of Dublin life is. The Victoria in Killarney was magnificent. I had a huge room and the restaurant in the hotel was great.

Tell Me Your Craziest Travel Story. Craziest experience was probably traveling in a different country. First, when I was taking the train from London to Manchester, I had the hardest time getting my ticket to scan to enter the train. Trains in the UK are assigned seating but somehow the assigned seating designations on the train were not working so it was a legit free-for-all experience. Another crazy experience was getting dropped off at the wrong terminal when flying from Manchester to Dublin. I ran through that airport to catch my flight, so I was all out of sorts. A good crazy experience was getting to see some people from the award winning tv series “Welcome to Wrexham.” I nearly got to meet Rob McElhenney.

What Transformation Do You Feel You Discovered in Ireland/The UK? My main takeaway: travel is so rewarding. It truly made me feel so appreciative for other parts of the world, and it was so humbling to get to experience so many awesome moments in a 2 week time period. I cannot recommend working with Kara enough – she created a fantastic trip for me and made my trip so memorable.
